New System Represents a Breakthrough in Audio Technology

(CHICAGO & LAS VEGAS) Banshee Audio announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas the first all-in-one 5.0 surround sound listening station for iPods, MP3 players and PSPs.

Representing a breakthrough in audio technology, the Banshee desktop speaker system generates surround sound from five individual speakers incorporated within a single, relatively small desktop speaker. As a result, Banshee provides remarkable sound precision, clarity and realism.

The Banshee desktop speaker utilizes patent-pending decoder technology to produce surround sound in a stylish system designed to fit on a desk, eliminating the need for numerous wires and speakers normally associated with surround sound systems. The sleek system, measuring only 11.5” L x 3” W x 6” D, produces 50 watts of power for effortless performance irrespective of volume. Banshee provides consumers with rich, powerful bass, super-crisp percussive output and ultra-clear midrange with holographic effects. Even at low volume, Banshee provides stunning and clear sound reproduction.

“The Banshee system offers an unmatched audio experience – consumers can enjoy powerful, crisp and clear surround sound from the 5.0 listening station – unlike ever before,” said Bill Loebbaka, co-founder and CEO of Banshee Audio. “The cutting-edge technology and sleek design, all in one speaker cabinet, make the Banshee system perfect for the office or any room in the house.”

The Banshee desktop speaker includes a remote cradle that allows for easy access to iPods, MP3 players and PSPs. This configuration eliminates the need for the listener to be in close proximity to the speaker.

Beginning in mid-March, Banshee for PSP will be available nationwide in Circuit City. Banshee will have an MSRP of $149 for iPod and MP3 player units and an MSRP of $129 for PSP units.
